WHAT IS A SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME)?
Portobello Institute is looking for a Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
interested in supporting the development of online post-graduate
programmes for Non-Executive Directors. The SMEs will provide
knowledge and expertise in specific subjects and area for the
programme development team.
WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS WITH EXPERTISE IN TWO OR MORE OF THE
FOLLOWING AREAS:
* Director Duties and Responsibilities
* Boardroom Dynamics and Behaviour
* Board Structure and Performance
* Risk Management
* Audit and Financial Reporting
* Operational Excellence
* Development of Strategy
* Company Compliance and Administration
* Risk Management
* UK Corporate Governance Code and Company Law
The role will require in-depth experience and a high proficiency
knowledge level in the chosen areas. If you have a background in any
of these areas, then we would love to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serves as point of contact for programme team to provide guidance,
advice, consultancy and content in area.
* Provide accurate and detailed information that can be used to
create the course?s content.
* Guides the completion of specific programs and projects relating
to the subject matter.
* Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral
communication skills.
* Communicate with key stakeholders, such as team members as
necessary.
* Review all learning resources, eLearning modules, job aids,
videos, for accuracy and usability, and give feedback where
appropriate.
Most of the work would be done remotely with the possibility of some
face-to-face meetings being held after Coronavirus restrictions have
been lifted.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in the identified area of expertise
* Minimum of Bachelor?s Degree in a technical or business
discipline in the area of expertise
* Advanced knowledge of corporate operations and management.
* Executive experience in a variety of executive roles and Boards,
Board Committees membership in large international organisations
DESIRABLE
* A global subject matter expert in Corporate Governance with main
focus in working with boards in UK, EU and Asia
